Addressing his teammate's abrupt exit, the Buccaneers' quarterback believes that everyone should 'help' the team's wide receiver in ways that 'he really needs it.'

AceShowbiz - Tom Brady has weighed in on Antonio Brown's abrupt exit from Tampa Bay Buccaneers. When addressing the issue, the husband of Gisele Bundchen insisted that his teammate deserves compassion and asked for empathy.
After it's confirmed that Antonio was off the team, the 44-year-old athlete was asked about the incident during a game against the New York Jets on Sunday, January 2. "I think everybody should hopefully do what they can to help him in ways that he really needs it," he told reporters. "We all love him. We care about him deeply. We want to see him be at his best and unfortunately, it won't be with our team."
"We have a lot of friendships that will last," Tom continued. The Buccaneers quarterback added, "Again, I think that the most important thing about football are the relationships with your friends and your teammates, and they go beyond the field." He went on to note that he believed "everyone should be very compassionate and empathetic toward some very difficult things that are happening."
Antonio was kicked out of the team after he stormed off the field during the team's comeback win over the New York Jets. He was seen taking off his gear and throwing some of it into the crowd as he ran back to the locker room at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. He was trying to get the crowd amped out on his way out and threw fans the "peace sign" as he left.
After the game, Antonio tweeted a photo of himself with the cryptic caption "Super Gremlin." The word Gremlin is believed to have originated from the Old English "gremian" which means "to vex" or "to anger."
The incident arrived weeks after Antonio was suspended for three games without pay in December. His suspension came after a league investigation that determined he violated COVID-19 protocols.
In a news release, the NFL confirmed there was evidence Antonio and two other players had "misrepresented their vaccination status." The other two players were Buccaneers safety Mike Edwards and free-agent wide receiver John Franklin III, who has been on the team's practice squad.
