AceShowbiz - Bachelor Nation star Demi Burnett rang in the New Year by getting candid about her mental health issues. The reality TV star took to her Instagram account on January 1 to share with her followers about the struggles that she's facing in her personal life.

"This is gunna be the hardest thing to ever post and I'm so embarrassed but imma be real. My ego is livid," Demi penned on the emotional post alongside a selfie of herself. "Happy New Year this is me 24/7 I'm not doing anything to envy I'm not 'happy' I'm not social."

Sharing that she's been "constantly thinking and crying and trying to figure everything out," Demi revealed that she'd spent "countless hours blaming myself for everything that's caused pain." She went on to add, "I haven't had a sip of alcohol in 5 months. I'm talking to a psychiatrist on Monday. I'm having an emotional breakdown every few hours. I'm feeling pretty s**t/overwhelmed most of the time." Despite that, Demi knew that "I AM GROWING EVEN IF IT HURTS IT IS WORTH IT."

In her post, Demi also shared a message for people surrounding her. "please don't text me saying I need to get out more. I know u mean well but it's not helpful and it makes me feel ashamed," she begged. She concluded, "This version of me (the one who stays in and avoids people) is who I have suppressed my entire life. I find comfort in exploring my head so much that it's my preference to be alone. I can only ever truly be myself when I am alone. No more camouflage."

Some of Demi's famous friends reached out to her through comments. Fellow Bachelor Nation star Amanda Stanton wrote, "been there [heart emoji] sending you love." Life coach and "Big Brother" alum Kaitlyn Herman also sent encouraging message that read, "I did a very similar post yesterday. I find it f**king bad a** when people are honest about their struggles. No faking. NO BS. Just the truth. You go girl."

"The Bachelor" alum Jessenia Cruz joined in, "You're amazing. Even when you don't feel like it!!" Nick Viall's ex Natalie Joy, meanwhile, wrote, "love you forever and always." Tammy Kay Ly also responded, "I love you Dems. For being YOU!!"

Natasha Parker assured Demi that she's there for her and will "always try to help." As for Tia Booth, she commented, "This is more helpful than you know. So glad to know I'm not alone and you aren't either, sister."
