AceShowbiz - The internet went wild over new Christmas pictures that saw Shaquille O'Neal with a baby and a stunning brunette. The trio looked comfy sitting on a coach while taking a selfie together, prompting speculations that the retired athlete had quietly started a new family.
The baby's mother posted three photos with Shaq on her Instagram. One saw the 49-year-old basketball superstar with her by his side and her toddler on his lap while the other two featured her cuddling the former NBAer. She hugged him from behind and kissed his neck.
No explanation was given. She only wrote a quick note to wish her followers a happy festive holiday on the caption, "Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays."
A quick search on her page revealed the baby, born in mid-July this year, was a boy. He even has his own Instagram page.
"The first day of your life was the best day of mine. He is my definition of perfect," the proud mother wrote when introducing the bundle of joy. "Meet Baby Justin born June 14th."
There were conflicting reports on the web; one that congratulated Shaq for allegedly going public with his new little family and the other that insisted the baby was not his.
The ex-hooper didn't post any of the photos on his page but he and the woman, who's a real estate agent, seemed to address the rumors on their Instagram Stories. Both posted a meme of a baby wearing a Santa outfit and giving a middle finger to the camera. The woman additionally wrote another cryptic message, "It be the cap for me."
Shaquille O'Neal was previously married to Shaunie. They share four children together. He has two more children from previous relationships. His most recent public romance was with model Laticia Rolle. They split in 2018.
Earlier this year, Shaq talked about parenthood. He taught his kids the value of education and the importance of hard work.
"I tell them all the time we ain't rich. I'm rich. No, you got to have bachelor's or masters and then if you want to invest in one of your companies, you would have to present it to me and I'll let you know. I'm not giving you nothing. The girls, I'll take care of the girls, but the boys, they're not getting nothing," he said.
