A paternity lawsuit filed by the NBA star against Maralee Nichols in Texas is dismissed by a judge, but the case still continues in California, where the personal trainer filed her own suit.

AceShowbiz - Tristan Thompson has suffered a big loss in paternity battle with Maralee Nichols. A judge has ruled to dismiss a paternity lawsuit filed by the professional basketball player against his alleged third baby mama in Texas in an attempt to prevent the case from being handled in California.

A source told Us Weekly both Tristan and Maralee were present and gave live testimonies at the virtual hearing on Wednesday, December 15. A source told the site of the judge's decision, "Regardless of whether any act of conception occurred in Texas that could have led to the conception of the child, they [allegedly] had a lengthy relationship spanning multiple states."

"The child was born in California, the mother resides there and so does Tristan," the source explained. "It would make sense the judge would dismiss this given the facts and the California lawsuit filed prior to the Texas one."

Prior to the judge's ruling, Tristan told Daily Mail, "I filed paternity action in Texas because that is the only place where paternity could have taken place." Meanwhile, Maralee said in a response to the athlete's Houston petition that she believes Tristan "thinks forum shopping in Texas will save him money ultimately in child support."

Previously, Tristan admitted in legal documents that he had a months-long affair with Maralee. "We saw each other sporadically between December 2020 and March 13, 2021 and did not have sexual intercourse in California during that time," he said, contending her claim about when and where the baby might have been conceived.

"Petitioner told me that she had been involved with other athletes and understood the limitations of our relationship; to-wit, that we might see each other on a sporadic basis for consensual casual sex only," he claimed, insisting, "I only recall that Petitioner and I had sexual relations in March of 2021 and at no other time in 2021."

The ex-boyfriend of Khloe Kardashian also revealed that he communicated with the personal trainer via Snapchat under the username "blkjesus00," only to talk about when and where they would meet up for sex.

He additionally alleged herpes was the "medical reasons" why Maralee scheduled induced labor on December 1. He further stated he was not the only athlete to get involved with Maralee and accused her of moving from Texas to California in a scheme to get more money from him following her pregnancy.
