Music Producer Flow La Movie and 8 Others Killed in Caribbean Plane Crash

The reggaeton music producer, who had worked with Bad Bunny and Ozuna, his wife and their 4-year-old son were among seven passengers of a private jet which crashed in the Dominican Republic shortly after takeoff.

AceShowbiz - The world of urban music is grieving over the loss of Puerto Rican producer Jose Angel Hernandez, better known as Flow la Movie. The reggaeton music producer, his wife Debbie Von Marie Jimenez García and 4-year-old son Jayden Hernandez were among seven passengers of a private jet which crashed in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, December 15, killing all on board, including two crew members.

According to the Helidosa Aviation Group, which operated the aircraft, the Gulfstream GIVSP plane left El Higuero airport en route to Miami before seeking to make an emergency landing at Las Americas International Airport in the Dominican Republic's capital, Santo Domingo. No details on the cause of the crash were given by the company, but a video posted on Twitter showed smoke billowing into the sky following the crash.

Helidosa said in a statement, "For Helidosa, this accident causes us great pain and sorrow. We stand in solidarity with the affected families that, along with us, are going through a difficult time." The company added that it is actively working to obtain more information and collaborating with the rescue offices.

The company identified the other passengers as Keilyan Hernandez, Hayden Hernandez, Yeilianys Jeishlimar Melendez Jimenez and Jesiel Yabdiel Silva. The crew members were Luis Alberto Eljuri and Víctor Emilio Herrera, the company said.

The death of Flow is mourned by musical artists, including Spanish artist Juan Magan who wrote, "What a tragedy! A man and his family conquering the world, it wasn't their turn to go. RIP Flow." J Balvin also took to social media to honor the artist, "Jose Angel, thanks for your good vibes always. Rest in peace."

Artistic producer Raphy Pina (Pina Records) honored the late producer as writing, "What a great pain, my God, a warrior, his family and his crew lost their lives in a flight. Condolences to all his loved ones. Horrible event. RIP.

Don Omar, whose hits include "Dile" and "Bandoleros", said he was "so sad for your loss and your family's. Thank you for the opportunity to collaborate. Fly high, see you later." Singer/songwriter Arcangel echoed the sentiment, "Rest in peace Peace friend @flowlamovie and family!! May God give the necessary strength to family and friends! @casper_magico @niogarcia I am with you with all my heart! God bless you!"

Flow produced the global hit "Te Bote", which features Bad Bunny, Nicky Jam and Ozuna. He recently co-produced J Balvin's "AM Remix" featuring Nio Garcia and Bad Bunny.
