AceShowbiz - Zac Efron and Amanza Smith are not a couple, despite a photo suggesting otherwise. The actor and the "Selling Sunset" star may have got people thinking that they were an item after a photo surfaced of the two looking pretty cozy with each other, but it's reportedly not the case.
On Monday, December 13, Tarek El Moussa shared several pictures from a UFC event in Las Vegas. "Fight night with great friends and great drinks @celsiusofficial…," he captioned the snaps. "I'm the biggest @UFC fan, always have been. I'm also a huge Celsius fan, been drinking it since day 1 and never stopped! - People always ask me where I get all my energy so now you know! Plus… wifey likes both of those things too so we had the best night."
One of them was a group photo featuring the "Flip or Flop" star and his wife Heather Rae Young hanging out with Zac, Amanza, UFC announcer Bruce Buffer and "Selling Sunset" star Mary Fitzgerald. In the said image, "The Greatest Showman" star and the real estate agent stood next to each other and the way the 34-year-old actor smiled and leaned his head slightly onto hers might have suggested that they were more than friends. "was amanzas date zac efron….??" one curious fan asked.
However, TMZ claims that Zac and Amanza are not dating. Despite their apparent familiarity in the photo, sources say that the "High School Musical" star just happened to be at the same dinner as Bruce and the rest of the group, and he joined for the group picture because he and Bruce are friends.
Moreover, according to the site, the real estate agent is now dating a pro soccer player from overseas and she is head over heels. As for Zac, he was most recently dating Vanessa Valladares, whom he met while he was in Australia. They had been dating since June 2020 and she accompanied him as he traveled across Australia for various projects, including filming "Gold" and his "Down to Earth" docuseries. She reportedly even quit her job to spend more time with Zac.
Their relationship ended after almost one year together. Kyle Sandilands, who is a good friend of Zac, confirmed in April that the breakup "wasn't just a rumor" and that there was "no drama" behind it.
