AceShowbiz - Joe Biden has caused a stir on social media with his recent comments about Satchel Paige. After calling the late baseball pitcher a "great n***o" during his Veteran Day speech, the president found himself being dragged by Internet users.

The 78-year-old made the remarks when honoring Donald Blinken, an ex-U.S. ambassador and father of Secretary of State Antony Blinken, on his 95th birthday on Thursday, November 11. "I've adopted the attitude of the great n***o at the time, pitcher of the Negro leagues, who went on to become a great pitcher in the pros - in Major League Baseball - after Jackie Robinson. His name was Satchel Paige," he said.

"And Satchel Paige on his 47th birthday pitched a win against Chicago," POTUS added. "And all the press went in and said, 'Satch is amazing. Forty-seven years old. No one's ever, ever pitched a win at age 47. How do you feel about being 47?' He said, 'Boys, that's not how I look at it.' And they said, 'How do you look at it, Satch?' And he said, 'I look at it this way: How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?' "

Biden has since drawn backlash over his word of choice. One Twitter user in particular raged, "Biden! You were at Arlington on Vets Day; perhaps you should talk about our vets who sacrificed everything; or those now on watch, 24/7 throughout the world so we all can sleep safely tonite. Instead you mumble something about the 'Great Negro.' On behalf of all vets, F**k off."

Another fumed, "Umm BIDEN…WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!?! Disgusting!! 'Great N***o'??? Just go ahead and say Ni**** you know you want to say. I'm sure Black Democrats will give him a pass on this one or deflect to [Donald Trump]." A third added, "Did Biden really just say the great 'n***o'? It's 2021 and the US appears to have a racist Democrat in the White House. How could Joe Biden(D) think this is acceptable?"
