AceShowbiz - Comedian Kenan Thompson will host the 2021 People's Choice Awards on December 7.
The veteran "Saturday Night Live" star, who is also nominated for Male TV Star of 2021 and Comedy TV Star of 2021, is thrilled to be taking charge of the show, at which the winners are decided by fans' votes.
"I can't believe I get to host the PCAs!! I'm beyond blessed to be nominated twice and part of two more nominations for SNL. Good times indeed!," the excited funnyman said in a statement. "Congrats to all the nominees we already won (sic)!!"
NBCUniversal Entertainment Television and Streaming executive Jen Neal added, "Kenan's versatility and commitment to creating quality entertainment that has sparked laughter for over three decades has made him one of the most endeared comedians of our time."
"We cannot wait to welcome him to the People's Choice Awards stage where his charisma and humor will undoubtedly bring fans to their feet."
The show will be held at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California and be broadcast simultaneously at 9 P.M. ET on U.S. channels NBC and E!.
"F9: The Fast Saga" dominates the nominations list by picking up eight nods. It is up against "Black Widow", "Coming 2 America", "No Time to Die", "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" among others for the Movie of 2021 title.
Marvel's "Loki", in the meantime, collects five mentions in the TV categories. Hots on its heels are "Ted Lasso", "This Is Us", and "Grey's Anatomy", with four each. In music, Justin Bieber picks up 10 nominations.
