The Bullet for My Valentine frontman is convinced that the extra paperwork and costs associated with performing in the European Union make life 'impossible' for British musicians.

AceShowbiz - Matt Tuck has criticized Brexit restrictions for making life "impossible" for British musicians. The Bullet for My Valentine star is convinced that the extra paperwork and costs associated with performing in the European Union make for a nightmarish situation for some artists.

"Everything is so uncertain, it's a mess," he told Britain's The Independent newspaper. "We'll obviously deal with any bumps along the way [but] this can't go on, it's impossible."

Despite this, Matt predicted that a "sharp U-turn" will happen at some stage. "I think everyone's just busy licking their wounds over the negative effects of [Brexit]," he said. "Farmers, fishermen… everyone's been led down the garden path and left for dead."

Matt insists that Bullet for My Valentine have never geared their music towards mainstream radio and they have no plans to start now. He said, "If something gets on the radio, that's great. But we've never written for radio - hand-on-heart, never will. Our band was not built [that way]."

The band has experimented with new sounds over the years and Matt insists they're happy to try something new, even if it's not well-received by all of their fans. "People talk s**t," he explained. "But just because something doesn't meet your expectations doesn't mean it's bad."

Elsewhere in the interview, Matt touched on his temporary split from his wife, Charlotte. Having reconciled with her, he said, "It feels great. Life throws you curve-balls but even after a long time apart we managed to bring it together. I'm so proud of us - we've never been happier."

Reflecting on the marriage turmoil he and his wife managed to overcome, the 41-year-old admitted, "At the time, I was aware that something was not right, but not to a full extent until I came out the other side of it. Now I've lived with it, I understand." He added, "And I'm not [in that place] anymore, which is great."
