The 'Shivers' singer is excited to perform on 'Saturday Night Live' after recovering from Covid-19 while the 'WAP' femcee is announced as an emcee for the upcoming American Music Awards.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran will make his live music return after beating COVID-19 by performing on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend (06Nov21).

TV bosses were left scrambling to find a possible replacement for the Brit when he announced he was in isolation due to a positive coronavirus diagnosis late last month (Oct21), but he revealed on Tuesday (02Nov21) he has been given the all-clear and is keen to get back out there and promote his new album, which was released on Friday (29Oct21).

"Posting this pic to say I'm released from covid isolation today, so if you see me out and about I've had the all clear and done my quarantine," he captioned a shot of himself singing on a soundstage.

"Excited to hit the ground running with work again, and SNL is still on, so tune in Saturday."

Sheeran will serve as the musical guest on SNL with actor Kieran Culkin hosting.

Meanwhile, Cardi B will host the 2021 American Music Awards.

The five-time AMA winning "WAP" rapper will head up the prize giving ceremony on 21 November (21), it's been confirmed, with Cardi admitting she's "so excited" for the event.

"I'm ready to bring my personality to the AMAs stage! Thank you to Jesse Collins, ABC and MRC for making this happen," she beamed.

Executive producer Jesse Collins added, "We are immensely excited to have the dynamic Cardi B bring her infectious energy to the American Music Awards as a first-time host."

"She will excite the viewers, push the limits and deliver a show that will be remembered forever!"

Olivia Rodrigo leads the nominees at the 2021 AMAs with seven nods, closely followed by The Weeknd who has six nods, and Bad Bunny, Doja Cat, and Giveon with five each.

The show takes place on Sunday 21 November at 8 pm ET/PT on ABC.
