The 'Boyz' singer looks like she couldn't care less about the controversy surrounding her and her former bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock as she parties with her friends to celebrate the success of her debut single.

AceShowbiz - Jesy Nelson may have put the past behind her. The "Boyz" singer has seemingly moved on from the blackfishing controversy as she partied with her friends to celebrate her new "beginning."

Making use of her Instagram account on Wednesday, October 20, the 30-year-old musician shared a series of photos from the night party with her friends. In the pictures, the singer and her friends were surrounded by food and cocktails as they celebrated the success of her debut single.

In one image, Jesy could be seen posing with her friends. For the celebration, she wore a black beret, khaki minidress and black lace-up black boots. In another snap, the gang all raised their shot glasses as the former Little Mix singer celebrated "Boyz" going straight to the top of the charts in more than 30 countries. "It's only the beginning," she captioned her post.

In the comment section, many of her fans showed their support. "You deserve all the love, I'm so proud of what you've achieved already and I'm so excited to see what else you achieve.I just know that it's gonna be so much," one gushed. Meanwhile, another praised her as saying, "So proud of you and cannot wait to hear the rest of your music."

After receiving many supportive messages from her fans, Jesy took to her Instagram Story to express her gratitude. "I just want to say I literally have the most incredible fans in the world and I love you all endlessly [love emoji]," she wrote over a black screen.

Prior to the party, an informant reported that Jesy and her team are currently working to take a step further with the social media trolls amid the controversy. "Jesy's team are trying to protect her from negative trolls," the insider claimed. "Comments about 'disrespect' only amplify things further. Everyone needs to take a step back."

Jesy was accused of blackfishing in the music video for her debut solo single, "Boyz". In a leaked text chain, her former bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock appeared to suggest Jesy had darkened her skin and changed her hair to appear more black in the promo.

Shortly afterwards, Jesy apologized publicly for potentially offending anyone after being accused of blackfishing during an Instagram live with Nicki Minaj, who also appeared in the MV. "I personally want to say that my intention was never, ever to offend people of color with this video and my song because like I said, growing up as a young girl, this is the music that I listened to," she explained.

During the livestream, Nicki defended Jesy and called out Leigh-Anne. At the time, the "Super Bass" raptress alleged that Leigh-Anne had "selective outrage" over Jesy. The rapper also dubbed Leigh-Anne "a jealous clown."

Following Nicki's statement, Leigh-Anne defended herself in an emotional birthday speech. Holding back tears, the Little Mix singer said, "I'm 30 years old. I know my character, you know my character, anyone that meets me knows my f**king character and that's all I care about."

Leigh-Anne's fiance, Andre Gray, also defended her. "You can put this on Instagram or whatever and if you have anything to say, come and find me," he told the crowd, before noting, "She's my baby mother, my wife. If you're going to try and disrespect my baby mother, my wife, my fiancee and my children, there's gonna be a problem."
