AceShowbiz - Carson Daly played a big role in Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's wedding earlier this month. According to a new report, "The Voice" host officiated the pair's wedding which took place at Blake's Oklahoma ranch.
It should not be surprised because Carson has been a friend to the pair since they started dating. He witness their romance which started on the set of "The Voice" where they met as fellow judges.
In an interview with "Today" back in January, Carson admitted that he wasn't so sure that the two should even be dating back in the beginning. He even said that he tried to stop the No Doubt singer from dating the country singer.
"Five years ago, when you started to date Blake, you'll remember this, we went back to your house, your old house in L.A., and I sat you and Blake down in the kitchen," he recalled. "I said, 'You guys, pump the brakes. This is not good. This is not going to work.' "
He went to say, "I looked at Gwen, and I said, 'You're much, much too good for this guy. You're smart. You're intelligent. You're one of my oldest friends. And then there's Blake.' "
Gwen confirmed her and Blake's marriage by posting first photos of her gorgeous wedding to Instagram on Monday, July 5. One of the snaps saw the country music crooner hugging his new wife from the back while posing near what looks like the chapel in his estate with the sunset view in the background. He sweetly planted a kiss on her forehead.
Gwen and Blake got married on Saturday, July 3 in a small and private ceremony at his Oklahoma ranch. They exchanged vows in a chapel which he built on the estate. According to Page Six, Gwen's parents Dennis Stefani and Patty Flynn were among those in attendance at the nuptials.
