Slamming swirling speculations about her relationship with the 'Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood' star, 'The United States vs. Billie Holiday' actress stresses that the two of them 'don't even know each other.'

AceShowbiz - Andra Day has poured cold water to swirling speculations about her being in a relationship with Brad Pitt. Having been rumored to be dating the "Once Upon A Time...In Hollywood" actor, "The United States vs. Billie Holiday" actress laughed off the rumors by calling it "hilarious."

The "Rise Up" hitmaker set the record straight on the romance rumors while attending the 2021 BET Awards on Sunday, June 27. "Oh my gosh, child, especially because we've never met," she confessed to Entertainment Tonight. "We're not dating. We don't even know each other. It is hilarious. It was thin air. Somebody was bored that day."

On her reaction upon hearing such speculations, the 36-year-old star spilled, "So I was like, 'Oh, alright.' " She further told the outlet, "My sister actually hit me up after, she was like, 'You met Brad Pitt?' I said, 'I guess so. I guess we did.' "

While she is adamant she is not romantically involved with the ex-husband of Angelina Jolie, Andra has nothing but praises for him. The "Marshall" actress praised the actor as saying, "He's great, though, super talented, wonderful."

In May, Andra was reported to have exchanged numbers with Brad at the 2021 Oscars. At the time, a source claimed, "They were flirting backstage and are believed to have swapped numbers. It could be just professional, but some of Brad's pals have been talking about what a great couple they would make." The insider spilled further that she has been on his "radar for a while."

On Sunday, Andra stepped onto the BET stage to perform her songs "Strange Fruit" and "Tigress & Tweed". She also took home the Best Actress award for her performance as Billie Holiday in the film "The United States Vs. Billie Holiday".

"It's our peers and our people, and I think especially with a movie like United States Vs. Billie Holliday, Lee [Daniels] really made the movie for us," Andra praised the film's director. She added, "That's who was on set and that's who was in our hearts and in our minds when we made it. So for our peers to say, 'We love this. This is special to us,' it means everything."
