After first set photos of the 'Shazam' sequel leaked online showing Zachary Levi's new costume, David F. Sandberg shares the clip which gives a detailed look at the superhero's outfit.

AceShowbiz - "Shazam! Fury of the Gods" has just begun filming last week, but fans are already treated to a sneak peek to the movie. On Thursday, June 3, the first official look at the sequel was debuted through director David F. Sandberg's Instagram account.

The clip gives a close look at Shazam's new outfit, from his shoes to his metal arm shield, before it shows the superhero standing in a dark room. "Why is it so dark?" says Shazam in the clip, "Probably would have been a good idea to have like one light on."

While he simply captioned it with "Sneak peek" and a thunderbolt emoji on Instagram, Sandberg also posted it on his Twitter page along with a caption that read, "Coming Soon...ish."

The video was dropped just hours after first set photos of "Shazam! 2" leaked online, unveiling the title character's brand new outfit. During the production on Thursday in Union City, Ga., Zachary Levi was spotted wearing a red-and-gold outfit that looks a bit different from the one his title character donned in the first movie.

The new costume is still dominated with red, with shiny gold on the chest, arm and belt. The most notable change, however, is the lack of a cape, while the chest logo and overall design of the costume also appear to have been updated.

Sandberg previously hinted that Levi's character would get an updated costume in the sequel, saying that the superhero was due for a new pair of leotards. Meanwhile, Henry Gayden returns to pen the screenplay with Peter Safran producing and Walter Hamada executive producing movie.

Asher Angel also returns as Billy Batson, alongside Jack Dylan Grazer who reprises his role as Billy's foster brother Frederick "Freddy" Freeman. Adam Brody, Meagan Good, Lucy Liu and Helen Mirren are added to the cast of the sequel, which is slated to arrive on June 2, 2023.
