A rental car company claims that the Bay Area singer causes them to lose more than $35K in potential rental fees as 'the value of the exotic ride was reduced by $88,573.'

AceShowbiz - Kehlani is reportedly facing a legal trouble. The singer was accused of destroying a Ferrari, which she rented from a rental car company for her new music video for "Open (Passionate)(Quarantine Style)", that caused nearly $25,000.

According to TMZ, the "Gangsta" songstress, the company claimed that Kehlani said that she rented the luxury car back in April for personal use only. However, it turned out that she used it in her new music video instead. Additionally, it's said that she crashed the black car into an animal or another object which caused a fatal damage.

The company said in the suits it lost over $1,000 a day while the Ferrari was being repaired. It also claimed that the Bay Area singer caused them to lose more than $35K in potential rental fees as "the value of the exotic ride was reduced by $88,573."

In addition to going after Kehlani for the damages, the rental car company demanded that her driver's license get suspended.

Kehlani has yet to comment on the report.

The controversy aside, Kehlani was among the celebrities who were vocal about supporting Black Lives Matter movement. Back in May, she called out fellow singer Lana Del Rey for posting footage of looters stealing from stores during the Black Lives Matter protests in Los Angeles.

The "Summertime Sadness" singer was among the celebrities who took to the streets to join activists before the protests turned violent, documenting what she saw and posting footage on Instagram. While many fans applauded her for taking civil rights matters seriously, Kehlani took offence at the content of the videos she was sharing, accusing Lana of risking the safety of those in the footage.

"It's dangerous as f**k and a very poor choice of moments to post," she tweeted on Sunday. "By all means protest, but DO NOT endanger people with your very massive platform." Lana then quickly deleted her initial footage of the looting.
