In his Instagram post, the 'Wolf of Wall Street' actor also urges everyone to join him in following and learning from the organizations that fight for real justice for everyone.

AceShowbiz - Leonardo DiCaprio takes to his Instagram account to make public of his pledge to battle against systemic racism and social injustice. In the Thursday, June 4 post on the photo-sharing platform, the actor declared that he commits "to listen, learn and take action" for Black Lives Matter movement.

"I am dedicated to end the disenfranchisement of Black America, that has been present for too long," the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" star wrote. "I will support those individuals, organizations and coalitions that are committed to bring about long-term change."

He went on to say that he "I will be donating personally to each of the following organizations." He added, "Please, join me, in following and learning from the organizations below," before listing some organizations including Color of Change, Fair Fight Action, The NAACP and Equal Justice Initiative.

Many of his followers praised him for making use his huge platform to raise awareness of the nationwide issue. "Love comes in many colors and I love you ALL with every shade of my heart," one wrote in the comment section. Another user raved, "You are such a huge inspiration."

The post arrives almost a week of massive protests that have been held in over 430 cities across the United States which was sparked by the murder of George Floyd, a black man who died after being suffocated by a police officer in Minneapolis on May 25. Enraged, people came down to street to protest against police brutality and racial injustice.

Leo himself is one of the growing number of prominent figures who had spoken out against racism. Recently, Angelina Jolie celebrated her 45th birthday by donating $200,000 to the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People's Legal Defense Fund.

"Rights don't belong to anyone group to give to another," the "Maleficent" actress wrote in a statement. "Discrimination and impunity cannot be tolerated, explained away or justified. I hope we can come together as Americans to address the deep structural wrongs in our society. I stand with the NAACP Legal Defense Fund in their fight for racial equality, social justice, and their call for urgent legislative reform."
