Before the 'Carnival Row' actress comes to her defense, the former 'Pretty Little Liars' actress adds fuel to rumors of her fling with the 'No Limit' rapper with alleged brief kiss in a car.

AceShowbiz - Cara Delevingne might have broken up with Ashley Benson, but she still has her ex-girlfriend's back. Shortly after Ashley made media headlines over her outing with G-Eazy which added more fuel to their romance rumors, Cara turned to social media to tell off those hating on the former "Pretty Little Liars" actress.

Making use of her Instagram Story on late Thursday night, May 14, the Vignette Stonemoss of "Carnival Row" reminded fans, "It's more important now than ever to spread love, not hate." She continued to urge haters to lay off her ex. "To everyone hating on @ashleybenson please stop," she noted. "You don't know the truth, only her and I do and that's exactly how it should be."

Cara Delevingne Begged Fans to Stop Hating on Ashley Benson

Cara's plea came hours after multiple news outlets reported that Ashley has been spotted lip-locking with rumored new boyfriend G-Eazy. The sighting was alleged to take place on Wednesday, May 13, when the "Spring Breakers" actress and the 30-year-old rapper went out to pick up food from The Apple Pan in Los Angeles.

During the particular outing, Ashley was said to be in high spirits. At some point, she was spotted leaning over to the passenger seat where G-Eazy was sitting, to give him a brief kiss. A source, however, insisted to PEOPLE that her relationship with the rapper "feels like just a fling for now." The source added, "She's getting over a breakup."

While she has not publicly addressed her break-up with Cara and her rumored new romance, Ashley has appeared to subtly express annoyance at the speculative reports. On the same day she was spotted out with G-Eazy, she liked a social media post that read, "Can't Ashley have friends now? STOP SAYING ASHLEY CHEATED! OR EVEN CARA! They just need friends right now more than ever."

Cara and Ashley have been dating for two years before the two parted ways in early April. Words on the street were, they have been practicing social distancing separately amid the coronavirus pandemic. About their split, a source told PEOPLE, "Cara and Ashley always had their ups and down before but it's over now. Their relationship just ran its course."

The pair have been plagued with split rumors for months after a candid message that read "Me and Ashley broke up" popped up on Cara's Twitter page in December 2019. The tweet was quick to be removed, and Ashley shrugged off break-up speculations by simply replying, "nope," to an Instagram user who asked her about it.
