Vicky Cornell has threatened to file a lawsuit in response to fraud allegations made against her by the three surviving members of her late husband's band.

AceShowbiz - Chris Cornell's widow Vicky has threatened her late husband's former Soundgarden bandmates with legal action if they don't drop their lawsuit against her.

The surviving members of the rock group - Kim Thayil, Matt Cameron, and Ben Shepherd - filed their lawsuit against Vicky and Cornell's estate at the U.S. District Court of the Southern District of Florida, Miami, claiming they had made an "oral agreement" with Vicky to perform for free at the "I Am the Highway: A Tribute to Chris Cornell" tribute concert in January 2019.

However, they go on to allege that while the concert "is believed to have raised many millions of dollars... Vicky Cornell did not have the intention of using some or all of the revenue from the Cornell Concert for charitable purposes, but rather for personal purposes for herself and her family."

But in a note from her lawyer, Marty Singer, it is alleged that the rockers lined their own pockets off the back of the concert, calling the allegations against Cornell's widow "mean spirited drivel."

Singer says band members have tried to "brow-beat her into giving up the rights to her late husband's copyrighted works" by initiating a hate campaign, enlisting "cyber-stalkers and trolls" to harass not only Vicky but her kids.

The letter notes band members have liked defamatory social media allegations against Vicky, adding, "Shame on you and shame on your clients (who) have made millions of dollars off of Chris Cornell's hard work and talent."

It ends with a threat of a malicious prosecution lawsuit against not only the band members but their lawyer as well - unless the band immediately drops its fraud claim against Vicky.
