Months after claiming to have lost around 100 lbs in weight, the "Rolling in the Deep" hitmaker celebrated her 32nd birthday, and treated fans to a rare full body photo of herself, stunning them with her unrecognizable look in a little black dress.
On Tuesday, May 5, the multiple Grammy winner made her return to Instagram after five-month-long break with the birthday appreciation post. "Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you're all staying safe and sane during this crazy time," she wrote alongside a picture of her smiling widely while standing behind a giant floral wreath.
In the post, the singer who won an Oscar for her James Bond soundtrack "Skyfall" did not forget to offer her thanks to those fighting the coronavirus pandemic. "I'd like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels," she noted. "2020 okay bye thanks x."
Adele's post has since drawn collected more than 1 million likes and positive feedback from famous friends. Among those gushing over her svelte figure were Chrissy Teigen as well as YouTubers Kalen Allen and James Charles. Chrissy commented, "I mean are you kidding me," while Kalen exclaimed in response, "THAT WAIST IS SNATCHEDDDDDDD!!!!," and James raves, "YOU LOOK AMAZING."
Adele has been making headlines with her slimmer figure since early January 2020. At the time, she reportedly told two fans, who asked her about her new look, during a holiday in Anguilla with Harry Styles and James Corden that her weight loss transformation was "a crazy positive experience".
A month later, the mother of one turned heads at Oscars after-parties after showing up in a leopard print dress. "She looked like herself but also so different - beautiful but almost unrecognizable," a source told PEOPLE, whereas another insider spilled to E! News that the singer has got other guests asking if it was really her who came to the bash because of her incredible look.
Adele's former trainer Camila Goodis credited the singer's divorce from Simon Konecki for her stunning new look. Back in January, Camila told HollywoodLife, "She got a divorce and I think that's a great motivation to feel good, even better about yourself." She added, "Sometimes the best thing in terms of something really positive in your life…I think maybe it was a very positive thing to happened in her life, this divorce. Because it made her look fantastic."
