The 62-year-old Cuban-American musician says the Miami water has become 'gorgeous and clear' after the deadly coronavirus pandemic leads to a lockdown in the city.

AceShowbiz - Gloria Estefan has found a silver lining amid the coronavirus lockdown - the waters around her home in Miami, Florida have never been clearer.

The singer isn't having the worst time in self-isolation, bingeing TV shows and chatting to her seven-year-old grandson on FaceTime, but she wishes more people could appreciate the waters off Miami Beach.

"If you step into my backyard and look at the water, it's gorgeous and clear," she tells "The Talk". "It's almost like if nature is sending us a message that they needed this reboot... The water's a different texture... because none of the cruise ships are going out."

"I can walk from my home over the bridge to Miami Beach and the other day I filmed it - it looked desolate. It looked like a horror movie, quite honestly... It was really scary to see all the businesses closed... It was very eerie.

"No one's allowed on the beach, which is a shame because we've got the most beautiful water we've had in quite a while."
