Along with footage of them together, the British singer writes in the caption, 'Today was so hard but you know what goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end.'

AceShowbiz - Olly Murs promised Caroline Flack that "goodbyes are not forever" as the TV presenter was laid to rest in a private funeral on Tuesday, March 10.

The 35-year-old singer became close friends with Caroline after co-hosting "The Xtra Factor" and going on to present main show "The X Factor" in 2015. And as he paid tribute to the "Love Island" star, Olly shared a video of himself giving Caroline several kisses on the cheek while hosting the British TV talent show.

He wrote alongside it: "Today was so hard but you know what goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I’ll miss you caz until we meet again xx."

Caroline was remembered by close friends and family at a funeral in London on Tuesday, after taking her own life on 15 February. Her decision to commit suicide came hours after she found out she'd face trial for an alleged assault on boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Burton also paid tribute to his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday as he posted an image of himself giving Caroline a kiss on the head, and wrote alongside it: "My little angel... I will love you forever."
