During his appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', the 'Daddy's Home' actor recalls the time his eldest daughter Ella Rae drove a golf cart in Hawaii and ended up on 'dry, sharp, dangerous lava.'

AceShowbiz - Mark Wahlberg is more than happy that his oldest daughter will not get her driving license in the near future. In fact, the Cade Yeager of "Transformers: The Last Knight" admits in a recent interview that he is "grateful" 16-year-old Ella Rae has not ask to sit behind the wheels since having a bad driving incident involving lava during a vacation in Hawaii.
The 48-year-old actor told the story during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" on Thursday, February 27. "We were driving in a golf cart and we're supposed to be staying on the path and both sides were lava," he recalled. "And then I told her, 'Slow down around the corner.' She didn't. You know, she's like, you know, got music playing and then, all of a sudden, she starts to go up on the lava and she literally bails out of the cart, leaving me."
Noting that it "was dry, sharp, you know, dangerous lava," the younger brother of Donnie Wahlberg said, "So, she hasn't asked to drive anymore, which I'm grateful for." He added, "And before that, it was like, 'Dad, let me take your car. Let's just drive around the neighborhood.' And I was, like, you know, trying to give her all the safety tips and she just wouldn't listen to me, you know? So, I'm glad now that she's changed."
This was not the first time Mark talked about being a father to young girls. When stopping by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", the "Deepwater Horizon" star recalled the time he did not get a chance to dance with 10-year-old Grace Margaret at her school's father-daughter dance.
"I didn't get one dance," he admitted to host Ellen DeGeneres. "And I told her we were going to do the whole big circle and I was going to go off. And she said, 'Dad, if you embarrass me, I will never talk to you again.' But what she did do is she hung out with me. She sat there on the edge of the stage, by the DJ."
What he did, though, was confronting the DJ at the dance over bad song selection. "I'm sitting there with one other dad and I'm like, 'This is not an edited version of this song. There are explicit lyrics being played at a school dance for girls and I'm like, 'no good,' " he recounted. "I told the DJ and he's like, 'Oh, I thought it was.' I said, 'What are you doing? I'm hearing F-bombs and this and that. Not okay!' "
