The 'Bang Bang' rapper has also apologized on behalf of Kenneth Petty after the latter was accused of being disrespectful for elbowing away Iwer when he tried to reach out towards Nicki.

AceShowbiz - Iwer George has broken his silence following a viral video showing him getting shoved away by Nicki Minaj's husband Kenneth Petty. In an Instagram post shared on Wednesday, February 26, the Soca star assured that he isn't offended by Kenny's behavior and claimed that he understands why he did so at the carnival.

Explaining what really happened during the event taking place in Trinidad, Iwer was asked to ride the Tribe truck after singing with another singer Yuma. "So out of respect for all of the bands I took off the Yuma shirt and proceed to climb on top of the truck in a white vest," he continued, adding that he later traded the outfit for a Tribe Music shirt after his manager told him that "it does not look proper to go on the truck in a vest."

As Iwer was trying to engage Nicki to sing his song, he "truly feel that her husband did not know who I was, as I was wearing a Tribe Music tshirt so he may have thought I was part of the sound system group." He elaborated, "Nicki's husband is not familiar with Trini culture so he did what any husband would do and that is go into protection mode. We all know in Trini a man must protect his wife , so I didn't stress about his actions. I just continued to sing my song."

To conclude his message, Iwer wrote, "Nicki is our queen and that's her husband we love and respect them. Allyuh Pat down and let them enjoy the rest of their stay in Trinidad."

Kenny received backlash and was accused of being disrespectful after he elbowed away Iwer when the latter tried to reach out towards Nicki. This prompted the "Anaconda" rapper to apologize on his behalf. "He's always in security mode," she said. "All love. Love my country to death. Love my ppl to death. Period." In another post, Nicki wrote, "I should've told him it's a very comfortable family atmosphere. He's never been to a carnival in his life. Not even in Brooklyn babe."
