AceShowbiz - J.I. might need to do some research before shooting his shot at someone. The teen rapper has driven a lot of his followers wild when he appeared to flirt with Wendy Williams on Instagram on Tuesday, February 4.

It all started after the TV personality talked about him in an episode of her self-titled talk show. "I have no idea who this rapper J.I. Is," she told her audience. "Do you know -- clap if you know who J.I. is." Not many people in the audience clapped, prompting Wendy to say, "Okay, one person." She then added, "It's not even about him. Although he's very cute, I don't know where he's from, I don't know how old he is."

She tried to get some information about J.I. through the show's announcer to no avail since he couldn't find the 18-year-old's page on Spotify. "It's not even about you, although J.I., welcome to Hot Topics," she concluded.

J.I. caught wind of this and shared the clip on his Instagram account. He wrote in the caption, "I've never heard of this lady a day in my life, somebody tag Her and tell her I think she's cute too."

His post soon garnered attention with people advising him not to even try to go beyond flirting with Wendy given their age gap. "Lol she to old bro she ain't up to date with rap or hip hop," one of his followers said. "She's over 50 dawg," another commented, while someone wrote, "Has he seen her standing up," seemingly mocking her body. "You moving out here! But she is NOT cute my bro!" one other chimed in.

Some others, on the other hand, believed J.I. was just being sarcastic and lied about not knowing the TV personality to hit back at her. Meanwhile, Wendy has yet to respond.
