The 'America's Got Talent' host previously apologized to Gabrielle Union for not defending her amid her controversial firing from the hit competition show.

AceShowbiz - Terry Crews received mixed reaction when he publicly apologized to Gabrielle Union over his past comments. Some praised the "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" star for admitting his mistake, while some others didn't take his apology well and continued attacking him. Among the latter group was the actress' husband, Dwyane Wade.

Hours after Terry issued his apology on Twitter, the retired basketball player took to the micro-blogging site to simply write, "Someone please take @terrycrews phone." On the other hand, Gabrielle still has yet to respond to her former "America's Got Talent" co-star's apology.

Dwyane Wade blasted Terry Crews.

As mentioned above, Dwyane wasn't the only one who didn't accept Terry's apology. Not a few people were still fuming because they believed the actor only apologized because of the backlash, not because he realized he had done something wrong. "He wasn't even apologizing for what he said he was only apologizing because of the backlash . Smh . Don't start a fire if you can't put it out," one said as another speculated, "I guess your publicist stepped in, yeah?"

"I just think it's funny how you apologized after she was announced as the executive producer of a new show. Meanwhile you're still out here tap dancing for bubblegum and pocket money," one other wrote as someone else said, "Apologies are invalid when they come AFTER you made the statement THEN doubled down on it and basically gave Gabby the middle finger."

Terry first received backlash for not defending Gabrielle amid her controversial exit from "AGT". Instead, he made it clear that he would not support any other women beside his wife, Rebecca. This angered people even more, prompting him to apologize to Gabrielle and others who were hurt by his comment.

In one tweet, he told Gabrielle that "it was never my intention to invalidate your experience but that is what I did." He added, "I apologize. You have been through a lot in this business, and with that I empathize with the struggle toward fairness and equality in the workplace." Terry also admitted that he should have "at the very least understood you just needed my support."
