AceShowbiz - Super Bowl LIV is only a few days away, but Jennifer Lopez is running into a little bit of trouble due to a post she shared on Wednesday, January 29. The actress and singer has been slammed and accused of appropriating black culture.

It all started after J.Lo took to her social media accounts to share a couple of selfies of herself wearing a shirt bearing the words, "Bronx Girl Magic" on its chest part. Just as people might have known already, the name might be inspired by the Black Girl Magic movement, which was born as a way to celebrate "the beauty, power and resilience of Black women."

Her followers unsurprisingly didn't let her get away with it and were quick to attack her. "I hate how people act so shocked and offended when I say I'm not a fan of Jlo because as a Latina, I'm supposed to idolize her or something. Black women can't have s**t lol the f**k is bronx girl magic?" one said, as another commented, "Jennifer Lopez culture appropriating a** really out here wearing a shirt that says Bronx Girl Magic."

Calling J.Lo a "fool," someone wrote, "That fool really said Bronx girl magic & watch her play stupid like she did when she tweeted ALM smh we really can't have anything." A different individual, on the other hand, said, " 'Bronx Girl Magic'? Lmfaooooo Jennifer Lopez is TIRED!" Someone offered an explanation, "Turning black girl magic into Bronx Girl Magic is erasure. It's a phrase created by black women for black women + girls to celebrate themselves."

The user added, "Why erase us from our culture? Glamour did an article about black women's self esteem being higher than other races. That's our magic." There was also one who said, "The behavior that you exhibit was dumb as f**k The stupid jumped out."

J.Lo hasn't responded to the backlash.
