In the Instagram clip, the 3-year-old can be heard getting sassy with her dad as she excitedly welcomes a new addition to their family, a poodle mix puppy.

AceShowbiz - Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have been caught off guard by their daughter's sassiness. On Sunday, January 5, the "Lip Sync Battle" co-host shared with her Instagram followers a video of her and her husband being taken aback by the way 3-year-old Luna's way of calling her father.

In the short clip captioned "Excuse me?", the power couple's little girl could be seen walking into the room where the "All of Me" hitmaker was in. Holding her family's new poodle mix puppy in her arms, she called her father by his first name to ask, "John, would you like to hold her?"

Upon hearing the shocking remark, John gave a short glance at the camera before trying to pull a straight face as he told his oldest child, "John? I'm not John. I'm your dad." Chrissy, who captured the interaction, couldn't hide her surprise as she chuckled in the background.

Luna's out-of-the-blue saying came after Chrissy and John adopted a new pet into their family. On the same day she uploaded her daughter's video, Chrissy made use of her social media account to introduce her family's latest furry friend, Petey. Along with a cute video of the pup, she wrote, "welcome to the family, petey!"

The Sports Illustrated model went on to thank Ellen DeGeneres as well as The Wagmore Pet Hotel & Spa organization for making her and her family "aware of this adorable little rescue family." She added, "this little guy grabbed our heart first and will hold onto it forever!"

Days earlier, Ellen reposted through The Ellen Show handle photos of Petey and his rescued family. "Dire situation. 10 dogs need help now! 8 puppies plus mom and dad," the post read. "None have any vetting. We need to raise $$ to cover costs. Please if you can send even $5 it will help! Venmo is wagmorpets dogs and puppies will be available soon. But right now we need to make sure they are safe and healthy."

Chrissy and John were always fond of canine. They have a number of English and French bulldogs prior to taking home Petey. Back in 2018, they lost their English bulldog she referred to as her "first born," Puddy. Sharing her heartbreak over the lost at the time, she wrote in an Instagram tribute, "I always knew I would lose a piece of me when he left us. I feel the hole now. I will love you forever, my boy."
