Aryn Drake-Lee argues in court documents that she deserves to keep the girl on her birthday after missing out on prior mother-daughter time due to a yoga retreat.

AceShowbiz - Jesse Williams has something to look forward this week. The actor has been granted permission to spend his daughter's, Sadie, birthday together with her despite ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee's attempt to prevent him from doing so. TMZ first broke the news.
It's stated that it's actually Aryn's turn to spend time with the little girl on her birthday, which falls on Friday, December 6. However, in court documents obtained by the publication, Jesse said that all he wanted her to do was dropping Sadie off with him at 6 P.M. as usual and letting him hang out with the little girl until Monday.
Aryn refused his request altogether, arguing in her own court documents that she deserved to keep the girl this weekend after missing out on prior mother-daughter time due to a yoga retreat in India for work. Hitting back at his ex-wife, the "Grey's Anatomy" star claimed that it wasn't related to work at all as he listed "Tea Break," "Dalai Lama" and "Finding Your Purpose" as the classes she attended. In addition to that, he said that he had already planned a full weekend of activities with their daughter too, which included a Disney trip and a Nutcracker play.
Judges sided with the actor in the end, after they found no relation between the yoga retreat and work. Aryn was told to make up her time at another date.
Jesse filed for divorce from Aryn in April 2017 after five years of marriage. Their divorce surely wasn't an amicable one, with outlets covering everything from leaks about custody battles and spousal support, to alleged rumors that Jesse cheated on the real estate broke with Minka Kelly. Earlier this year, Aryn spoke out about their divorce in an interview with PEOPLE, calling it a "blessing in disguise."
As to why she thought that way, she told the magazine, "Because it was a real slap in the face to see who was around us and why, and at that point it became very clear. And it cleared a pathway for me to make a shift and get back onto a path that was more in alignment with how I wanted to live my life."
