AceShowbiz - Are they dating or not? Niall Horan has been rumored to be dating Selena Gomez for some quite time. And now the One Direction member has broken his silence on his status during his new interview.

When appeared on Australia's radio station 90.9 on Tuesday, December 3, the 26-year-old was asked about the romance rumors between him and the "Lose You to Love Me" songstress. "Do I have a girlfriend?" Niall said, before adding, "No, I don't."

Putting all the rumors to bed once and for all, the Irish star went on saying, "I'm very much single, very much single."

This is not the first time for Niall to talk about his relationship with Selena. In October, he called the former Disney darling "a really good friend" when asked about his first impression of her on "The Social".

"First time I seen was, she was on 'Barney'," Niall said, referring to Selena's early days on the children's program, which was met with laughter from the audience. He went on gushing about the actress/singer, "She looked cute and she's an absolute sweetheart, too. And she's a really good friend right now."

Niall gave a similar deliberate answer when asked about the dating rumors on Sirius FM. "We're friends. We have the same group of friends. We hang out all the time. The one photo that was ever taken got posted. We're good friends," he said.

Selena and Niall first sparked dating rumors after they were pictured hanging out together with their mutual friends for a group dinner on October 3. The 27-year-old beauty fueled the speculations as she took to her Instagram Stories to help promote Niall's new song "Nice to Meet Ya". "This came out like 5 mins ago," she wrote in the post, "and I'm pretty sure you need to download."

A few days later, the "Wolves" hitmaker was pictured visiting the One Direction member at his house in Los Angeles. Niall then took to his own account to give Selena a shout-out. He shared on Instagram Stories a picture of him posing in front of a large Selena poster. "Hello there Sel," he captioned it.
