AceShowbiz - R&B singer Chico DeBarge has been arrested for drug possession.
The "Talk to Me" hitmaker was picked up by police officers after he was found with methamphetamine in Burbank, California last month, reported TMZ.
The 53-year-old was first approached by authorities after being seen using a piece of wire to try and open an SUV parked in a Walmart parking lot and, when law enforcement authorities searched the star, they came across the drugs.
While the vehicle turned out to be his own, with the singer attempting to find a way in after locking the keys inside, drug paraphernalia was also found within the car.
He was taken to Burbank City but later released, with formal charges still pending.
DeBarge has a history of drug abuse, having been arrested for drug possession and attending rehab in 2007. He later titled his 2009 album "Addiction".
