The Lando Calrissian of the 'Star Wars' movie franchise says in a new magazine interview that he sees himself or herself as both masculine and feminine.

AceShowbiz - Actor Billy Dee Williams has come out as gender fluid.

In an interview with Esquire magazine, the 82-year-old star, who first appeared in the "Star Wars" franchise in 1980's "The Empire Strikes Back", explained that he uses both male and female pronouns when referring to himself.

"I never tried to be anything except myself," he said. "I think of myself as a relatively colourful character who doesn't take himself or herself too seriously... And you see I say 'himself' and 'herself,' because I also see myself as feminine as well as masculine."

The actor added, "I'm a very soft person. I'm not afraid to show that side of myself."

"Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker", starring Billy as Lando Calrissian, hits theatres December 19.
