AceShowbiz - Jenna Dewan made headlines over her reaction during Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes' performance of "Senorita" at the 2019 American Music Awards on Sunday, November 24. The ex-wife of Channing Tatum sparked speculations that she was shading the singer by calling her "extra."
The former Fifth Harmony member took the stage with her boyfriend to perform their sultry collaboration track in an equally steamy performance. It was when Jenna was caught whispering something to her good friend and stylist, Brad Goreski. Many people believed that she told Brad, "She's always extra."
Putting an end to the rumors, Jenna took to her Instagram account to deny the allegations. "Hi guys, leaving the AMAs," the pregnant star said in a video of her inside a moving car. "I'm getting a lot of text messages from people wondering if I was shading Camila. No! I love her! I love her so much! I'm such a big fan of hers!"
She went on saying in another video she posted on Instagram Stories, "I love her, love her, love her!" Brad then chimed in, saying, "Um guys, we were bumping and grinding so hard to 'Senorita'!" before Jenna exclaimed that it was her favorite song. "It's so crazy," Jenna added, "Anyways, thank you AMAs! That was so much fun."
Fans were actually divided about the whole thing. Some people believed that Jenna did shade Camila but they found it relatable. "JENNA DEWAN SAID 'shes always extra' ABOUT CAMILA DURING HER AND SHAWNS PERFORMANCE!!! IM HOLLERING SCREAMING ANDDDDD YELLINGGGGG I SWEAR THO JENNA," one fan tweeted.
However, some people defended Jenna by saying that she wouldn't say that. "Jenna said: 'She always sound so good.' Clowns everywhere," one of them said. Another one added, "As soon as I saw the clip that is what I thought she said. Jenna likes Camila, you could tell at the BBMAs that she does. She wouldn't say something bad about Camila."
Camila and Shawn have yet to respond to the rumors.
