AceShowbiz - Things between "The Real Housewives of Potomac" stars Monique Samuels and Candiace Dillard get messier. After Candiace sued Monique for second-degree assault, the latter is taking legal action of her own against her co-star.

Monique reportedly filed counter second-degree charges againts Candiace to the District Court of Montgomery County in Maryland. According to a a summons issued on November 14, the commissioner found probable cause in Monique's complaint because Candiace was slapped with a summons herself.

Candiace is expected to appear in court on February 6, 2020. Meanwhile, Monique, who is facing charges by Candiace, is scheduled to appear in court next month on December 23. Should a judge agree there's probable cause at the hearing, then the wife of NFL star Chris Samuels could be facing jail time. If convicted she can be sentenced up to 10 years of imprisonment, a fine of up to $2,500.

The beef between the ladies stemmed from a physical altercation between Monique and Candiace took place during the filming of forthcoming season 5 when the Housewives were all at a vineyard while drinking wine. The two, who have been beefing for years, later got into an argument and things shortly escalated into a physical fight.

In related news, Candiace appeared to accuse Monique of blocking her getting gigs amid their legal battle. She shaded her co-star in one of her recent Instagram post in which she informed that she wasn't be able to perform the National Anthem at the basketball game on Saturday because of Monique.

"When your lackey's have nothing better to do than to crawl around on their hands and knees behind closed doors; attempting to throw dirt on my name, fighting a losing war alongside their harrowing employer...," she wrote in the caption. "This turn of events and my removal from the program by @sweetcookie100 by way of #moniquesamuels is for the fulfillment of a personal vendetta over ones own indiscretions. I look forward your next hat trick, saints."
