Ariana Grande Battling Illness, Having Trouble Breathing During Show

The 'Thank U, Next' singer tells her online followers that she was in so much pain, giving a 'gentle' warning that she might cancel her show if she didn't get better by Sunday, November 17.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande fell ill. The 26-year-old petite singer/songwriter opened up to her Instagram followers on Saturday, November 16 that she was in a lot of pain and might cancel her show at Lexington's Rupp Arena if her condition got worse by Sunday.

"Hi my loves," she greeted her online devotees. "So I'm still very sick. I've been sick since the last London show," she referred to her October concert at the The O2 Arena. "I don't know how it's possible but my throat and head are still in so much pain."

"I sound okay I'm just in a lot of pain and it's difficult to breath during the show. i am seeing my doctor and trying my v best to get better for tomorrow's show. the last thing i would ever want to do is cancel a show at this point with so few left. I'm truly cherishing every moment of this."

"I just really don't know what's happening with my body right now and need to figure it out. please take this as a gentle heads up," the brunette beauty continued. "i don't want anyone to feel blindsided tomorrow if god forbid i can't make the show happen."

"I'm on all the meds. getting IV drips, doing everything i possibly can to pull through. mom and friends are taking good care of me. just a scary feeling," she revealed before ending her post with, "Love you with all my heart and will keep you posted."

She then showed clips of her friends delivering fruits and tea to cheer her up and help nurse her health back. "Update: still can't swallow or lift my head. Love u," she said in a follow-up post. "Medicated AF and hoping to wake up better. Seeing doc again in AM and will let you know about show. I'm so sorry again. It's catching up to me I guess. Love u the most."

She also shared pictures of her "steaming" her throat. "Love u. Sorry for the anxious updates and over sharing I just don't want anyone not aware of what's going on ahead of time," she explained. "You know I push through and hide things as often as I can/as well as I can when sick and wouldn't say something unless it were really tough."

Ariana Grande has been travelling non-stop for her tour since March. She still has a number shows in North America until December 22.
