The 'General Hospital' actor had a run-in with the law in Martinsville, Indiana after passing out and urinating on himself while taking an Uber cab home on November 11.

AceShowbiz - "General Hospital" actor Tyler Christopher has pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanour public intoxication - but won't be forced to enter a treatment program for alcoholism.

The U.S. soap opera star, who was once married to Eva Longoria, was taken into custody in Martinsville, Indiana on Monday night, November 11 - the day he turned 47.

According to TMZ, Christopher had passed out and urinated on himself while taking an Uber cab home, prompting the driver to call the authorities to deal with him, who later confirmed he was in a state of intoxication.

However, after entering a guilty plea on Wednesday, Tyler was ordered to pay a $440 (£342) fine and released with no further punishment - despite officers' pleas to have him entered into an alcohol treatment program.

According to the arrest report, cops requested, "the judge consider the possible sentence of a treatment facility for Tyler Christopher's alcohol issues, as well as consider restitution to (the Uber driver) for the damage to his vehicle from Tyler Christopher urinating in his back seat."

His arrest took place just three days after the star had another, separate, public intoxication incident, when he allegedly attempted to get into another person's car at a Walgreens pharmacy parking lot. Police had reportedly received nine calls about Tyler being intoxicated since 14 September.

Medical personnel told law enforcement services there was nothing more they could do for the actor, after he was taken to a medical centre for treatment but, against medical advice, checked himself out soon thereafter.
