AceShowbiz - Irv Gotti can relate to T.I. when talking about parenting and protecting his daughter. Appearing on "TMZ Live" on Monday, November 11, the record producer confessed to almost scaring his daughter Angie's boyfriend when he pulled a gun on the young guy during a sex talk.

"It was funny because I pulled a gun out on him," Irv said, prompting reactions of disapproval from the show's reporters. Claiming that it was harmless, he quickly clarified, "But I was only joking!.. I have a great relationship with her boyfriend." Irv added of his daughter's beau, "I really like the guy."

Irv went on sharing his advice for his daughter and her boyfriend, "I keep it real with my kids. I don't lie to my kids. So I told her 'sex feels good.' But I was like 'Yo, just make sure it's respectful...' and I told her boyfriend 'Just always be respectful.' "

Concluding the interview, the 49-year-old DJ said that the moral of the story for parenting is to just "trust your daughter that she's gonna make the right decision."

Irv's comments were in response to T.I.'s recent admission that he takes his daughter to the gynecologist every year after her birthday "to check her hymen." Tip said when appearing on the "Ladies Like Us" podcast, "This is the thing. Deyjah's 18, just graduated high school now and she's attending her first year of college, figuring it out for herself. And yes, not only have we had the conversation, we have yearly trips to the gynecologist to check her hymen... So I say, 'Look doc, she don't ride no horses, she don't ride no bike, she don't play no sports. Just check the hymen please and give me back my results expeditiously.' "

T.I.'s controversial move prompted mixed reactions from people, while his daughter Deyjah appears to be upset at him as she has unfollowed the rapper on the social media site following the shocking revelation.
