AceShowbiz - Matthew McConaughey is reportedly set to step into the role of Harvey Dent in director Matt Reeves' "The Batman".
Robert Pattinson will take over from Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader in the upcoming movie, and now it's claimed the "Dallas Buyers Club" star will be joining him as Gotham City's District Attorney Dent, who subsequently becomes Batman's adversary, Two-Face, according to WeGotThisCovered.com.
If the news of McConaughey's casting is true, he will follow in the footsteps of Aaron Eckhart, who previously portrayed Dent/Two-Face in Christopher Nolan's "The Dark Knight", while Tommy Lee Jones tackled the part in "Batman Forever".
"The Batman", which is expected to be released in 2021, will also feature Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, and Jeffrey Wright as Police Commissioner Jim Gordon.
Meanwhile, McConaughey celebrated his 50th birthday on Monday, November 04, by joining Instagram.
The Oscar winner posted a video of himself talking about joining the social media site for the very first time, stating: "Look, this is my first venture into sharing myself and my views with the world, and I'm a little bit nervous about it because quite frankly... I know I want to have a monologue, (but) I'm not sure I want to have the dialogue."
"I'm looking forward to sharing who I am with you, I'm looking forward to seeing if who I am translates, if what I want to share translates. If it tickles your funny bone, if it makes you think a second, if it makes your heart swell up a little bit, if it makes you take a quiet moment for a walk and go, 'I have to check in with the M and the E' - hopefully all of those things."
He's not the only A-list Instagram virgin - Jennifer Aniston posted her first picture of a "Friends" cast reunion last month (October 2019).
