According to reports, the 'Love Yourself' hitmaker drives his Mercedes-Benz in the neighborhood of Hannam in Yongsan District before he violates a traffic regulation and runs into a taxi.

AceShowbiz - Jungkook, one of BTS (Bangtan Boys) members, appears to be involved in a legal issue. The South Korean heartthrob reportedly was booked and being investigated by police regarding a recent car accident.

Police reported on Monday, November 4, the Seoul Yongsan Police Station booked the singer. The 22-year-old was being investigated on the charge of violating the Road Traffic Act after his Mercedes-Benz hit a taxi on Saturday.

According to reports, the "Love Yourself" hitmaker drove his car in the neighborhood of Hannam in Yongsan District before he violated a traffic regulation and ran into a taxi. Both Jungkook and the taxi driver received treatment at the hospital for minor injuries including bruises.

Following the accident, BTS' agency Big Hit has released a statement. "Right after the accident, Jungkook admitted to violating traffic rules and was investigated under proper procedures. We apologize again to the taxi driver," read the statement. "We also apologize to fans for causing concerns."

The company further assures that both Jungkook and the taxi driver were not seriously injured, adding that they have reached a settlement agreement. However, related investigations are still underway.

Police, meanwhile, refuse to give more details about the accident. "We cannot reveal the details. We are currently investigating details," the authorities say.

This arrives after his group BTS was announced to be the winner of Best Live Act and Biggest Fans at the 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards in Seville, Spain. Taking place at the FIBES Conferences and Exhibition Center on Sunday, November 3, the award-giving event was hosted by Becky G and featured stunning performances by Dua Lipa, Niall Horan and Halsey among others.
