The 'New in Town' actor, who was also joined by wife Jill Goodacre and their three daughters, was presented with a star along Hollywood Boulevard next to Cole Porter on October 24.

AceShowbiz - Harry Connick Jr. was honoured when his "New In Town" co-star Renee Zellweger agreed to help him unveil a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The pair have remained friends since filming the 2009 movie and when he discovered he was set for a big honour in Hollywood, he wanted the "Judy" star to be a part of it.

"I called and I said, 'Listen, would you mind coming and saying a few words at the presentation of my star,' and five minutes later she said, 'I'd love to be there,' " Harry recalled.

"She's one of the good ones. She really is a great person and I admire her infinitely."

Harry unveiled his star, placed beside his hero Cole Porter, on Thursday, October 24. He was also joined at the ceremony by his wife Jill Goodacre and their three daughters, Georgia Tatum, 23, Sarah Kate, 22, and Charlotte Connick, 17.
