The former 'The Game' star is granted guardianship of her three-year-old son Kross, who is inheriting half of his late father's reported $2 million estate.

AceShowbiz - Lauren London is taking control of her toddler son's finances as he is poised to inherit half of his father Nipsey Hussle's estate. On Tuesday, October 15, the 34-year-old actress/model was granted guardianship of her and Nipsey's son Kross Ermias Asghedom, TMZ reports.

The former "The Game" star filed for guardianship of her only child with the late rapper back in July, nearly four months after Nipsey was fatally shot in Los Angeles. She explained in the court filings at the time that she is the primary caretaker for Kross and will look out for the child's best interests if her guardianship request is granted.

Nipsey's estate is believed to be worth at least $2 million and Kross will inherit half of it, or around $1 million. The Grammy-winning artist's daughter Emani Asghedom from his past relationship with ex Tanisha Foster is expected to inherit the other half of Nipsey's estate.

Lauren has been maintaining a good relationship with Nipsey's family and there was never a dispute when it came to Kross. On the other hand, Nipsey's other baby mama Tanisha has been feuding with the "The Roll" hitmaker's family over the custody of 10-year-old Emani.

Nipsey's family has accused Tanisha of being a neglectful parent, so his sister Samantha Smith has petitioned to become Emani's legal guardian. Responding to the accusations, Tanisha stated in court documents filed back in July, "I strongly oppose both of the petitions filed by Samantha Alexandria Smith, Samiel Asghedom and Angelique Smith. I am the other of Emani Asghedom and there is no good reason my rights as her mother should be taken away from me, or otherwise reduced as her mother."

She claimed there had never been a "court order ever taking Emani away from me; or any court order that indicates that is not in her best interest to have me in her life," adding that she and Nipsey "always shared the responsibility of parenting Emani."

Tanisha further accused Nipsey's family of trying to portray her as "an unfit mother" and "a golddigger" and cutting her off financially since the rapper's death. "No one seems to care about the impact Ermias' [Nipsey's real name is Ermias Joseph Asghedom] death has had upon me and Emani. I have been maligned as being an unfit mother, a golddigger, and someone not worthy of any voice in the matter of my daughter and her future. I have no financial means of my own to care for myself or Emani," she stated.

The custody battle is still ongoing.
