AceShowbiz - "This Is Us" star Mandy Moore's early pop career has inspired a new TV series.
The "Candy" singer, who is now 35, is the brains behind 90's Popstar, according to Variety, and she will co-executive produce the series, alongside writer Amanda Lasher and "This Is Us" showrunners Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger.
Marc Webb is attached to direct.
The show will revolve around the parents of a small town Florida family, who are swept up by their teenage daughter's overnight pop success.
Mandy was a teenager when she hit the big time with her songs "Candy", "Walk Me Home", and "So Real" in 1999 and 2000.
