As Carrie Underwood' Capitol performance became a hot topic on social media, stirring both criticism and praise, Mandy Moore and Ariana Grande let their opinions known in a subtle way.

AceShowbiz - Ariana Grande was not the only star dissing Carrie Underwood after the "American Idol" alum performed at Donald Trump's inauguration ceremony. Just like the "Wicked" actress, Mandy Moore also hit the "like" button on an Instagram post that mocked the a cappella rendition of "America the Beautiful" at the Capitol.

The post featured a photo of Underwood singing while Vice President Kamala Harris standing behind her looking unimpressed. "Kamala Harris evoking Coco Montrese ('Girl, find the note') watching Carrie Underwood at today's chilling Inauguration," the caption read, referring to a "RuPaul's Drag Race" contestant.

Followers took to the comments section to both criticize and defend Underwood. Some poked fun at the technical difficulties while others praised her for her professionalism.

Underwood was informed about the technical issue just before her performance and told the crowd, "You know the words - help me out here." The audience sang along as she was accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club.

Prior to the inauguration, Underwood said it was her honor at being asked to perform. "I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event," she said.

Underwood's political affiliation remains private, as revealed in a previous interview. "There is someone I do support, but I don't support publicly," she said in 2008. "I lose all respect for celebrities when they back a candidate. It's saying that the American public isn't smart enough to make their own decisions."
