The 50-year-old actor, best known for his role as Nog on 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' series, leaves behind his wife Malissa Longo, who is 'not sure how to do life without him.'

AceShowbiz - Actor Aron Eisenberg has passed away at 50 years old. The star, best known for his portrayal of Nog on "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' series, died on Saturday, September 21, his wife Malissa Longo announced on Facebook later on the same day.

"It is with extreme regret and sadness to announce that my love and best friend, Aron Eisenberg, passed away earlier today," his widow wrote in the lengthy tribute. Describing him as "an intelligent, humble, funny, emphatic soul," she remembered him, "He sought to live his life with integrity and truth. He was so driven to put the best he had into whatever work was put before him. He lived his life with such vigor and passion. He was like a breath of fresh air, because I knew I would always hear the truth from him."

Malissa revealed that they "had eloped on December 28th, 2018," though they never officially announced it. She added that they "were hoping to have a big shindig in celebration of our nuptials, but had to wait to save up the money."

"There will never be another light like Aron's. The beauty that he was and the legacy he leaves behind is beyond words. I love him dearly and will miss him eternally. At the moment I'm not sure how to do life without him...," she shared, before concluding her post, "He is and always will be My California."

Malissa didn't reveal the cause of his death, but Aron had been battling health issues for years. He was born with only one partially functioning kidney and received 2 kidney transplants. He underwent his first transplant when he was 17 and another when he was 46. His kidney issues limited his growth to 5 feet (1.52 m).

Aron was also featured on "Star Trek: Voyager" and "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", and had roles in films like "The Horror Show", "Playroom" and "Beverly Hills Brats".
