AceShowbiz - More winners have been revealed at the 2019 Primetime Emmy Awards. "RuPaul's Drag Race" was announced as the winner of Outstanding Competition Program later that night. Meanwhile, Patricia Arquette was honored with Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her performance on Hulu's series "The Act".

While doing her award acceptance speech, the Dee Dee Blanchard depicter made it emotional as she talked about her mourning for her sister's passing and equality for trans people. "I'm so sad I lost my sister Alexis. And that trans people are still being persecuted. And I'm in mourning every day, Alexis and I will be the rest of my life, for you, until we change the world to that trans people are not being persecuted. And give them jobs! They're human being, let's give them jobs!" she said.

Another winner that night included Johan Renck, who snagged the prize for Outstanding Directing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special for his work on "Chernobyl". The series also won Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series, Movie or Dramatic Special for Craig Mazin.

Ben Whishaw was later announced as the winner of Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his stunning performance on "A Very English Scandal. Meanwhile, the event marked one of the biggest nights for "When They See Us" star Jharrel Jerome who earned his first win after winning Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.

Beating out Mahershala Ali ("True Detective"), Benicio Del Toro ("Escape at Dannemora"), Hugh Grant ("A Very English Scandal"), Jared Harris ("Chernobyl") and Sam Rockwell ("Fosse/Verdon"), Jeremy said in his speech, "I feel like I should just be in the Bronx right now, chillin,' waiting for my mom's cooking but I'm here." Looking emotional, he also thanked his fellow nominees as well as his family for their support. He also gave a shout-out to "When They See Us" director Ava DuVernay and Exonerated Five.
