AceShowbiz - Aretha Franklin left behind almost $1 million (£820,000) in uncashed cheques when she died last year (2018).
Payments from the Screen Writers Guild, EMI, and Feel Good Films were in the soul legend's possession, according to new court papers.
The cheques were discovered during an inventory of the singer's possessions.
The new windfall has been added to her estate, which sons Clarence, Edward, Teddy and Kecalf are fighting over after three handwritten wills were found in their mother's home.
The authenticity of the documents is under review by a handwriting expert.
