Rapper Tee Grizzley's Aunt and Manager Killed in Drive-By Shooting

The 'First Day Out' hitmaker was unharmed after a gunman opened fire on his car, but his 41-year-old aunt Jobina 'JB' Brown died after getting struck with bullets.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Tee Grizzley is mourning the death of his manager and aunt Jobina "JB" Brown after he was involved in a drive-by shooting. The "From the D to the A" spitter's Cadillac Escalade was shot up in his hometown of Detroit on Tuesday, August 20.

According to TMZ, when the SUV made a stop, a gunman approached on foot. Tee, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, reportedly got out of the car. He and the driver were unharmed in the incident.

Meanwhile, Jobina was sitting in the backseat when the shooter opened fire, hitting her in her left side. She was struck multiple times and was rushed to a hospital in an ambulance, but unfortunately she couldn't be saved. The driver told cops he heard Jobina scream right before 3 to 4 shots were fired.

It's still unknown if Tee was targeted in the shooting and what was the motive behind the attack.

Sharing a few different details of the incident, The Blast reports that Tee and Jobina were heading from the studio to the casino in a Uber, but made a stop along the way. According to the site, the 25-year-old rapper was inside of a house when the shooter launched the attack. It is claimed that Tee was indeed the target in the shooting.

Tee has not released a statement regarding the incident, but hip-hop community has reached out to him via social media to express their condolences over the unfortunate event. Fellow rapper Lil Yachty posted on Instagram, "Praying for my bro. One of my real friends. In my thoughts till I hear from you. Love you broski."

Rapper/actor T.I. added on his own account, "They place the heaviest loads on the strongest backs... Our prayers & condolences lil bro... Stay strong... I'm here if you need me King."

Tee has previously paid tribute to his aunt/manager Jobina in a Facebook post to let her and everyone know how big her influence was in his life. "My manager My Aunty My Big Homie if you die I can't tell the story cause I'm dying wit u," he wrote in March 2017 along with a photo of Jobina.
