The 'Got Money' rapper, who had a series of seizures linked to his drug habit in the past, is allegedly back using lean again after swearing it off for health reasons.

AceShowbiz - Old habits indeed die hard. Lil Wayne has reportedly been back using drugs again, two years after swearing it off for health reasons. The 36-year-old rapper was caught drinking lean at Lalapalooza over the weekend, MTO News reports.

Lil Wayne performed his unreleased remix of "Old Town Road" for the first time at the music festival, where he also delivered a rendition of his 2008 hit single "Lollipop".

Lean is a mix of allergy medicine promethazine and codeine cough syrup. The "6 Foot 7 Foot" hitmaker has had a history of getting addicted to lean for years. He, however, declared that he had given up his drug habit after going to rehab for his addiction two years ago.

Lil Wayne previously had a series of seizures which were linked to his drug issue. In 2012, he had in-flight medical episode two days in a row. His rep downplayed his condition, saying that he had "a severe migraine and dehydration." The New Orleans-born rapper later revealed that he was taking seizure medication, on doctors' orders, due to the aforementioned incidents.

In 2013, he suffered seizure while filming a music video with Nicki Minaj. Hours after being released from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, he was taken back to the hospital after experiencing further seizures. He was admitted to the ICU in critical condition. It was reported at the time that his latest seizures were linked to high amounts of codeine in his system. His friends, however, denied that his seizures were drug-induced.

He was released from the hospital following a six-day stay. He later addressed his condition during an interview with DJ Felli Fel of Power 106, saying, "This isn't my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth or seventh seizure. I've had a bunch of seizures. Y'all just never hear about them. But this time, it got real bad because I had three of them in a row."

Lil Wayne, again, had two seizures in June 2016 during a flight from Wisconsin to California, and was forced to land in Omaha, Nebraska. Less than a month later, he had another seizure, allegedly due to not taking his epilepsy medication. In September 2017, he canceled a Las Vegas show after having a seizure in a Chicago hospital. He was taken to the hospital after being found unconscious in a hotel room earlier that day.
