The 'Claws' star talks about the intense backlash she received from fans following her public split from the 'Kiss Kiss' hitmaker during an appearance on Big Boy's radio program.

AceShowbiz - Karrueche Tran is happily in love with former football player Victor Cruz now, but she has been through a hardship due to her past relationship. Appearing on Big Boy's Real 92.3 radio program, the model/actress opened up about the hate she received following her very public breakup from Chris Brown in 2015.

"I've been through worse and worse, by myself. Y'all know what I'm talking about. I've dealt with some crazy stuff. Having relationship problems but being so public and so many people judging," she told the radio host without naming her famous ex-boyfriend.

"I wanted to hide. I wanted to crawl," she shared. Admitting that she didn't deal with it in the wisest way, she revealed, "I smoked a lot of weed to take the pain away... to literally have no brain... I don't wanna think about anything. I don't wanna get on my phone."

The 31-year-old, who currently stars on TNT's series "Claws", continued, "At one point, I became so invested in my phone. I was like 'Oh my gosh this is dreadful, this is crazy.' But then I realized if I could just pull myself through somehow, I don't want to be that label anymore. And for me to get past that, it took some years... I had to cause what I was gonna do? Go back to Nordstrom? No. I ain't selling no more clothes."

Having made it through the worse moment of her life, Karrueche gushed about her relationship with her current boyfriend Victor Cruz. "We're good, we're happy." When asked if they're going to be engaged anytime soon, she coyly answered, "Potentially, yeah."

Claiming that she's never been in love like this before, she said that being with Victor, she's learned "that I can put myself first and also love someone else at the same time. There's room for both. I think before I was just putting too much energy into one and not giving [enough to] myself. And I'm also in a different headspace. I'm more career-driven, so I can take care of that. He lives on the East Coast so we have our time together but we also have our stuff apart where he works, he does his thing, I do my thing in my space..."
