Given the steamy scenes, shippers of the collaborators can't help but poke fun at the fact that the two keep insisting that they are just friends despite their romance rumors.

AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello got fans talking after releasing their latest collaboration "Senorita" and its music video accompaniment at midnight on Friday, June 21. The collaborators, who once were rumored to be dating, got hot and heavy in the almost three-minute-and-a-half visuals.

The video begins with the Canadian heartthrob looking hunky in a leather jacket before he enters a diner, where he meets the Cuban songstress for the first time. It's clear that Shawn is interested in Camila because the second time they meet, he can't take his eyes off her. Finally, when she gets off work one day, Shawn braves himself to ask her out.

Things take a steamy turn after this, with Shawn and Camila heavily making out in a motel room. It doesn't stop there as they continue packing on the PDA during a dance session in a dimlit room. But it looks like things just don't work out between them as the video ends with the two singers doing their own things.

Given the steamy scenes, fans, especially those who ship them together, couldn't help but poke fun at the fact that Shawn and Camila insisted that they are just friends despite the romance rumors. "Shawn and Camilla: were just friends. Director: hold my coffee," one quipped as another echoed, "Shawn and Camila: 'We'RE jUsT FrienDS.' Mendes Army: MMMMMMMHHHHHBHHHH REALLY?" Someone else said, "who else ships Camilo and Shawn together. Love you both guys."

"Senorita" marks Shawn and Camila's second collaboration. Prior to this, the "Treat You Better" singer and the former Fifth Harmony member released a joint track titled "I Know What You Did Last Summer" in November 2015. Serving as the lead single off his debut studio album "Handwritten", the song reached the top 20 on Billboard's Hot 100 and on the Canadian Hot 100 charts.
