The 'All the Way Up' hitmaker has been slapped with four charges, including assault in the third degree, for punching the 'Love and Hip Hop: New York' star backstage at a benefit concert.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Remy Ma has been hit with a string of charges for allegedly punching "Love & Hip Hop: New York" star Brittney Taylor backstage at a benefit concert in April.

Prosecutors have filed four counts against Remy, including assault in the third degree and aggravated harassment in the second degree.

Taylor claims the "All the Way Up" hitmaker punched her in the right eye at the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza in New York.

Remy was initially booked for misdemeanour assault after turning herself in to authorities.

Sources tell TMZ prosecutors have updated the time at which they claim the attack went down - from 9.30 P.M. to 10.30 P.M. - after the rap star claimed she had proof she was nowhere near the venue - or Taylor - at the time she was accused of punching her.

Remy has reportedly been offered a plea deal in return for the dismissal of all the charges apart from assault in the third degree.

As part of her deal she will have to enter a long-term anger management programme.

A trial is scheduled to begin in July.
